As per your trip type, there are a few things you have to do before travelling to Nepal. First of all, make sure all the documents including travel insurance, flight tickets, package booking confirmation, and visa have done nicely. Then prepare your body for the trip. If you are going to do trek or mountaineering, then you have to train your body as per that. Ask your trekking agency about necessary preparation.

Medical Checklist

Good health is important for a successful journey in the Himalayas. Consult your doctor once and know all the effects your body might feel while travelling in the Himalayas. Get to know about altitude sickness. You can ask your doctor to prescribe you some medicines to use for headaches, allergies, altitude sickness, muscle pain, vomiting, nausea, dehydration, diarrhoea, etc.

These medicines should be in your first aid kit along with bandages, antifungal cream, band-aids, lip balm, eye drops, insect repellent, etc. Also, carry a small sterile kit or any other medications that may not be available in Nepal. Likewise, make sure to get the necessary vaccination, including the covid-19 vaccination.
