About Namobuddha Hiking
Namobuddha Hiking takes you to a hilltop at 2,565 meters. Situated 45 km southeast of Kathmandu valley, Namobuddha is also a famous Buddhist pilgrimage site. The legends say Lord Buddha has cut his own flesh to feed hungry tigress here. At the top are old monasteries and stupas decorated with fluttering colorful prayer flags that are worth visiting.

The Namobuddha Hiking route goes through rhododendron bushes and lush forests. Early in the morning, you will drive to Panauti, an ancient Newari town. It is the starting point of the hike.
