We have the two best seasons: autumn (October- November) and spring (March- April). The temperature in the autumn season: Day (Min 12°C to Max 18°C), Night (Max -7°C to Min - 2°C). And Temperature in the spring season: Day (Min 14°C to Max 20°C), Night (Max -5°C to Min -2°C. This info is according to our experience but it may change somehow. The autumn is colder than spring and you can sometimes experience heavy snowfall in the spring season. The snow is usually in the hunting area during the spring season. Both autumn and spring season is best for Blue Sheep hunting in Nepal.

Where is the located Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve in Nepal?

Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is located in the western part of Nepal. The reserve covered a 1325 sq. km area of three districts including Rukum, Myagdi, and Baglung. The main hunting office is located in the Baglung district.

Can we use horses during the Blue Sheep Hunting in Nepal?

The Tahr consumes woody plants and herb species with natural grasses for diet. These animals can eat a wide variety of vegetation. They appear on the lower slope elevation while snow covers the vegetation in the mountain. During the night, Himalayan Tahr always shifts the locations to have better access to the resource as water and food whereas, during the day, they shift locations up the higher elevation to avoid predators and as well as rest. When they get any smell of predators they run unexpected miles in the mountain.
