About Phulchowki Hiking
Phulchowki Hiking takes you to 2,782 meters from where you can see a beautiful landscape. Phulchoki distance from Kathmandu is 14 km. Situated southeast of Kathmandu valley, Phulchowki is one of the best hiking spots near the city. This place is famous for a botanical garden, bird watching, and snowfall in winter. The hiking trail is stunning and offers panoramic views of mountains on a clear day. It takes around 7 hours of ascent and descent to complete the hike.
The Phulchowki Hiking route is easy. You will be hiking through tropical forests, enjoying the fresh air and the chirping of birds. On the way, you can see views of mountains like the Annapurna range, Mt. Gaurishanker, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Manaslu, Langtang Himal, and many other peaks. Along with rich vegetation, Phulchoki also has religious importance. Every year a month-long festival is organized in the surrounding area of the temple to please the Phulchoki Mai (goddess).
From Kathmandu, we will take about 30 minutes to drive to the Godavari. From here, we will begin hiking through lush forests. You can see a range of flora along the way. After finishing the hike, we will descend to the Godavari following the same trail and drive back to Kathmandu. Anyone can go on Phulchowki Hiking.
