About Nagarjun Hiking
Nagarjun Hiking is a short one-day hike that takes you away from the bustle of Kathmandu city and into the tranquillity of nature. It is one of the closest hiking trails from Kathmandu, located northwest, about 7 km away. At 2,128 meters, it is also known as Jamacho peak. The Nagarjun Hiking route goes through Raniban to the Jamacho Gumba. Around 5 km of the hike will take you to the top of the hill.
Nagarjuna hike offers a stunning panorama of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and Dorje Lakpa, along with excellent views of Kathmandu valley. The rich flora and fauna along the way make the journey more exciting. The trail ascends through lush forests of rhododendron, oak, pine, and much other vegetation. Likewise, you may also get to see wildlife and birds on the Nagarjun Hiking route.
The hike begins from Fulbari gates and ends in the same place. Nagarjun Hiking is a good alternative for tourists who have limited time on their hands to explore nature. The hike offers an incredible experience with a zest of cultural touch. The trail is easy, and anyone can go on Nagarjun Hiking. March to April and October to November are the best to go on this hike.
